Christina Lauder Portraits Offers One to One Training
This week I had a day of training at the studio with a lovely photographer from down Essex way. Her name is Amanda Collins who already does some amazing work of her own. In fact, at one point I wasn’t quite sure why she even bothered booking a day with me as she knows so much already.
But I loved the session. It was a bit like the entire day was a coffee morning. We spent much of it chatting away about the way we each worked. In the end I probably gained as much from the session as Amanda did.
As part of the training I brought in a previous client to see if we could get the portrait she has been after for a while. Unfortunately that was not to be though. You can’t always convince a 2 year old that he needs to lie patiently next to his baby sister. So for now at least that arrangement will have to wait. But we still managed to get several images I am over the moon with and Amanda was able to gain confidence from watching another photographer work. I shared my thought processes with her as I created my sets and established the lighting. If nothing else it proved that we all have the same struggles when dealing with small children.
